Wandering along the Great Wall of China.

For one of my birthdays a few years ago, we decided to walk the Great Wall of China, a 4-day adventure that took us along many iconic sections of the wall, as well as some parts that were far less travelled. As we wandered, the walk at times seemed interminable, the watchtowers beckoning from afar, and never seeming to get any closer! And every step between each watchtower was either up, or down! Yet, it was always incredible. We reflected upon such an amazing experience; the opportunity to wander on one of the world’s greatest wonders, the sheer magnificence of the wall, and the history of the people who built it.
